The Girl from the Well - Rin Chupeco
Okiku (The Girl From The Well)
I love J-horror and girl ghosts, so this book was basically tailor-made for me! I'd love to read about Okuki's life/afterlife in general, her activities as a vengeance ghost, her slowly regaining her humanity, and/or her relationship with Tark. OR: you could write about other ghosts in the same universe, what they're getting up to and whether they and Okiku ever cross paths.
That Inevitable Victorian Thing - E.K. Johnston
Victoria-Margaret (That Inevitable Victorian Thing) Helena Marcus August Callahan
This book! This book was such a warm, fuzzy hug at a time when I really needed that. I'd really like to see fic that looks at Margaret, Helena, and August's lives after the book ends, and how they handle being royalty and ruling the empire. Or, alternately, you could base a fic on what their domestic lives look like behind the scenes. Or you could do BOTH.
Girls Made of Snow And Glass - Melissa Bashardoust
Mina (Girls Made of Snow and Glass) Lynet (Girls Made of Snow and Glass)
I, uh . . . ship this a lot. That said, if you're not comfortable with writing Lynet/Mina romantically, I'd also be down for gen fic about them as co-rulers, how they work together on resolving conflicts, and what the kingdom looks like under their rule.
Six of Crows Series - Leigh Bardugo
Nina Zenik, Matthias Helvar
I love Nina/Matthias, so of course, the ending of Crooked Kingdom was . . . controversial in my household. I'd be super pleased with a canon divergence AU where that whole bit of business just never happens and they go off to broker peace together. Or, if you'd prefer, something set during the books while their relationship is developing (especially during CK, when they're dealing with the panem fallout.)
