This was such a FUN movie, kind of a bloodier throwback to nineties adventure flicks like The Mummy. The team had delightful chemistry, and I am ON BOARD with reading about their further adventures. I especially vibed with Boyce and Rosenfeld's relationship, and would love to read anything more along those lines. Their future adventures in the Army? Their lives after the war ends? Go nuts!

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019)

I just really love the idea of Ruthie joining Stella on her mission to save Chuck and Auggie and possibly hunt/help other ghosts, and that shared smile at the end felt RIFE with possibility. Perhaps long hours spent on the road together lead to something more? In gen news, I found the themes of the movie absolutely fascinating and very much tailored to me, so anything in the vein of storytelling/urban legends/angry ghosts who are upset that they've been lied about would ALSO be great.

So Mary/Kreizler is a ship I absolutely incepted myself into - I didn't even like Kreizler that much at first, but I loved Mary, and he seemed to make her happy, so okay. And then I went from "if that's what she wants, I guess" to "the pining! The unspoken shared traumas! The mutual support! THE YEARNING." I think there's something to the relationship, where there's this mutual support and comfort (he saved her from prison, she helps him with the things he can't do because of his hand - it's also made explicit in the book that she's the only person he's confided in about his father, which is fascinating and says so much about the levels of trust involved) and also, he seems to make her happy, and I'm very invested in her being happy.

Note: like a dumbass, I didn't check to see if Nile & Joe had been nominated as a relationship. It was not, so it's not included in the request, but I would also love to see him in any fics. Basically I just want Nile to be loved and supported as she transitions into this weird new world, in whatever form that may take. Also I REALLY ship Andy/Nile (the chemistry in that plane fight, my word) so that would also make me super happy.

I revisited this book recently - it's an old favourite - and was blown away by how many FEELINGS I still have about it and there's so much fic potential - either fic about Sweeney and Dylan after the events of the book, or about Sweeney and Oliver after the events of the book - Oliver must have had such a fascinating life in between college and coming back to save Dylan! And their dynamic would be so fraught and fascinating! (Note: the book describes Oliver as having transitioned, so I would prefer fic that genders her appropriately.)
